Several of our trustees have brought back from Malawi pieces of the distinctive wax-printed fabric used in Malawi for chitenjes (wrap-around skirts) and for a multitude of other purposes.
As a fundraiser, we’ve been making facemasks from this colourful fabric. These have proved to be very popular – facemasks are becoming something of a fashion accessory! – and we can still take orders.
